displaced homemakers can get grants to go to school, u first should go down and ask for child support and spousal support, because u are a stay at home mom, and shouldn't have to give up anything just because he decdides to leave u. u ask for food stamps, medical cards, u file for divorce, u can go to legal aide and ask them for help.

Well did he leave? Are you still staying at your home? If you have no job then you need to go to the local dhs office and get help financially. You need to figure out with your husband about how he plans on supporting his kids. If he doesnt want to fork over some money then you need to file for child support. And then go from there.

The welfare system should be considered a temporary assist until you can get things squared away with your life. Go apply for aid for rent, food etc., but decide on what to do as a permanent means of support. Get a job(if you can in this economy), even with kids you can start some college classes online to work toward something that you enjoy. Take time to pray about what you need to do. Read your bible and know that God does not give us more than we can handle.

Get a lawyer. You can get alimony. Since you were a stay at home mom, you can say that he told you not to work to be with the children and then just left you. You demand some kind of money to keep you on your feet. And you will get child support on top of that as well. Lawyer is what you need the most. Nail him for what he did.

You better stand up, mend yourself and be courageous. Seek for financial support legally by finding a good lawyer to make it in black and white. Ask your family to take care of your kids while at work and live again like you used to.

You go up! Find a job, a sitter, and prove to him that you can do it. If any of the kids are under 5 try WIC and get on foodstamps if needed. Get him to give you money for the kids and go from there. Good luck
