I met my boyfriend some years ago when he was married. Our relationship at that time was purely plutonic, It was common knowledge that his wife treated him bad and had many affairs. However more credit to him that he stood by her and tried to work at his marriage. A few years later low and behold we got together as we were both seperated and sparks flew. We got on really well our children met etc etc etc. However his ex played up and attempted suicide as she could not cope with him moving on. Bear in mind she had left him. I stood back and he went back to his marriage. But it did not last for long as she left him again. It was a difficult time for us both. So we did not get back together but waited 6 months to see if we still wanted each other. Well here we are!!! a year and a half later we are so in love. He is a wonderful man. I sold my house to move in with him for a short time as his house has sold. His ex has now refused to sign the final paperwork and is laughing at him, She hates the idea that he has a life and can move forward from her wicked ways. I have been made aware from so many people including her own family that she is a real Cruella Deville and if things dont go how she wants them to go then everyone can look out. Her new boyfriend has left her so now its time to target her ex. This is such a shame for him as she is being so wicked but why? Even her own daughters nerves are bad as her mother either does not speak to her or screams at her telling her she dont like her as she looks and sounds like her dad. He has been so generous with his ex in fact too generous He even offered her all the furniture, To pay all the debt she left and still give her half the assets from the sale. She now seeks psychiatric help for her depressions. If thats what she really suffers with!!! I am seriously beginning to think she uses this ready for the next emotional attack on my partner. Its such a sorry situation. Has anyone got any ideas how to sell his house before he goes down the solicitors route and has to spend lots of money. Can solicitors help in this one?

I went through a similar situation. He HAS to set a boundary and do whatever he can to get her out of his life. I guess he has kids with her (?) so he can't do it totally....but you both have to learn to ignore her stuff. Stop caring. She is crazy. Its not news anymore. :) Let her be crazy. Fill your life with more important things. Even by writing this on here - you are giving it to much attention. Do not give her any attention...chances are she has some kind of a personality disorder that thrives on that....so - let her be crazy alone!

She can be forced to sell the house by court order, a solicitor will help with this, to file the paperwork with the court - if they are in the process of a divorce it can be simply written in with the other terms, and brought up to the court quickly. As far as the rest of her crap, I agree with one of the other answers - ignore ignore ignore. If you don't feed into her drama she will get frustrated. |

there is no way to sell the house without her consent.... However, if she's refusing to sell the house (and the children are over 18) she can be forced to sell by court order |
