First tip, don't call her stupid.

Second, maybe she's depressed. Ask her if something is bothering her. Then, ask her if there's something she wants to do....is there a movie she wants to go see b/c you'd love to take her. Fake it a bit, get her out. Tell her she looks nice while you're out. It'll boost her confidence, and she'll probably have a skip in her step and may be more inclined to get up and get out more often.

It's a two way street. I know it seems like she's in the wrong, but if you just check the ego and bite the bullet, you may be surprised by the results which could pay off for you. Or, you can keep talking badly about her online and watch her eat her way to 400 pounds and then be divorced. Your choice. What will it hurt to try taking the approach of being the one to make the effort even though it seems like she needs to? Which do you care more about....your ego or your happiness?

Try taking her out. Get her interested in a hobby. Does she work? Does she clean, cook or wash? If she doesn't do or have any of these, suggest that she does. If this doesn't work, take away or stop paying for things she likes to do. Don't buy twinkies and disconnect the cable.

She isn't stupid, she's lazy. If this question is for real, I don't think it is, tell her to get up off of the couch and go grocery shopping. Sounds like you're getting low on Hostess. Is the house clean, is the laundry done, was dinner cooked? Was she taking a break. If the answer is no to all of these, she's lazy and not stupid but your are stupid if you want to live like this. Do something about it if you're not happy.
