Through my school I have a great chance to travel to Europe,and most of it will be paid for. I mentioned this to my girlfreind and she freaked and right away started giving me thr whole " its either that or me". I dont want to hurt her and I do love her, but I this as a one in a life time chance. I understand if it were the other way around I would trust her, and not try to hold her back.. so im a bit stuck

If she loves you she shouldn't make such an unfair ultimatum. She should realise what a great chance it is for you and support you.
The very fact you said that if it were the other way round, you wouldn't hold her back- that suggests you are not really having an even relationship and you both have different expectations of each other.
I think a good relationship is one where you help each other to grow and support one another to realise your dreams. |

you shouldn't have to stop living because of a relationship. does she have the option of going with you? if she does, and that is what you want, that's cool, and if not, you should be able to do whatever you want - not like you are cheating, or spending the 'family budget' that you need to discuss with her prior.
