Not a fan of people in general?

Alright so I am a 20 year old guy in my second year of college and dont have any friends. I lost trust in people a long time ago and dont want friends. I have lived in the same city since I was born and apparently a lot of people know me (some I dont even know) cuz of my skill in boxing. I got rep now for being a loner and having no friends and its kinda like a disease people stay away most the time which I like, but my problem is that people disrespect me for this and judge me on it. I dont take being disrespected, dont get along well with others and like to fight so as you can see this is not a good outcome. I dont want to get introuble and go to jail, so how do I get my respect with out resorting to beating it out of people, which is my nature???? Also what is a good major and job for someone who doesnt like being around people???????

I dont have anger issues or any problems more apathic if anything but do not take disrespectful actions. When I fight I am happy and dont get mad just business

move towns and start over. Be friendly to ppl. I know i hate ppl too but you just have to try if you wanna live on this earth. It's the sad reality. Even if you go to jail, you will still have to deal with ppl and their bs.

You cannot function without other people and until and unless you get some serious counseling to get at the root of your rage and resentment your wall will keep you locked out of life entirely. You cannot have a mindset that makes you think you have to beat people, that is unhealthy for you and will land you in prison or worse unless you get help soon. And NO ONE will hire you with that attitude, all of us face adversity at one time or another, but you do not have the luxury of using that to act like a murderous thug.

You don't get respect by beating it out of people, you have to earn respect. To earn respect you have to be a good person, have friends and help people. So as long as you remain a loner, you're going to get made fun of and people will avoid you.

How do you expect people to respect you if you don't even give them a chance to get to know you? Respect is earned, not just freely given. Being good at boxing alone isn't going to gain respect for you. People might admire your talent......but that has nothing to do with who you are inside.

Im sure you can get friends at the place where you like to box. Try teaching things to other boxers or even asking other boxers for advice even if they are worse than you this is pretty flattering. Just some friendly small talk or fooling around with other people could help change the way people view you. They might think that since you don't talk to them you think you are better than them so they just don't respect you, this might not be the case but from their point of view it could be. Respect them and they will respect you.A good job for someone who does not like people would be maybe a night job, less people around to bother you.

Look your problem is very simple. You need to get h** out from your town where everybody knows your name. You need change. You sound so angry and agitated because of where you are living. I think change of place and work should make your attitude positive. Good luck!

Respect doesn't come from violence. That promotes fear, hatred and a desire for retaliation. Respect comes from who you are as a person. Of course others are going to judge you for keeping people at a distance. That's not healthy behavior on your part. But if you don't want others in your life and your attitude keeps people at a distance, why do you care what they think of you? If you want respect, you have to earn that by behaving respectfully. Sounds like you want something handed to you without earning it through your behavior. Sorry, but life doesn't work that way. Make up your mind what you want more..... isolation or respect. You can't have both.

are you one of those people who does wierd stuff to their bodies and face to look different and then judge other people that they dont like you before they get a chance to like you? and give yourself a title like loner.
possible jobs; jailer, mortician, cemetery grounds keeper, busboy, terminal disease reseacher. meter maid, medical examiner.

I understand your problem. Am just like you am also 20 years old female in college(second year too) and i also have problem with not getting along with people very well. the only difference between me and you is that i don't fight. The only way i think you can get respected is being calm, be yourself , don't do anything to harm anyone. keep everything to your self that will not bring argument that might end up into a fight. Stop fight is not worth it. Also i think jobs that i can think of right now keeps you from being around people will be research work kind of like bio tech companies (always dealing with experiment), accountant (always dealing with numbers) these two industries you have less contact with people. But i really think you really need friends people can help you financially , emotionally and physically. i hope this helps. goodluck

janitor or a night guard at department store. and by the way - having friends and having people just to go out with re 2 different things. u can live without friends, no problem, but u can not live without socializing with other people. with whom u go out on friday night? with whom u spend weekends? alone? your life is pitiful.

You already have respect from others. You are to weak to see it and be with it. A good major for you would be psychology.
