my fiance says he dated losers and only dated a few (like 3) (he is 27) but he says he does not regret his past. this makes me feel as if he means that he never wanted to only sleep with one person. that makes me feel sad...guys help?

Never regret the past. The past has a significant role to who you are right now. Me on the other hand have gone through some bad experiences in my life. Now that I found my wife, she somewhat molded me to be a better man..... To be honest with you, we are in a rough patch at the moment as well and I feel that some of our past is catching up to us. But nevertheless, good and bad things that happened to our past should be looked at in a positive perspective so that we could survive for the future. |

I am a male and I don't think he meant it in that way. The way I see it is when you regret your pass you show incomplete, in pain, weak, not in control and those are emotions that do not equate good with being a male. But all depend on the context of the conversation. Also by seeing the statement the fact of dating losers and he accepting that he regrets about it make him a loser. Cause you regret when yo don't take anything good from what is being. And there is always lesson to learn from the past only when there is none is a regret. Other wise no reason to regret about it. |

Depends upon what your age is to understand what or where he is coming from. If one dated losers, it says way too much about him, he can't be the prince charming you were looking for. Men usually refer to the women who didn't want them as the losers, when in fact they were the ones who figured him out for the snake he really is. Talk is cheap. |

I don't believe that is what he is saying at all. Our past makes us who we are. We learn a lot with our mistakes. I have been happily married 11 years & I don't regret my past, at all. I believe that it is better to have made mistakes with others...instead of making them with my husband. They made me a better wife...just like his own mistakes make him a better husband. |

At least for me: all those loser guys i dated lead me to my husband. I'm thankful for it. My husband is the only guy I slept with, I don't wish I had slept with anyone else.
