sometimes couple have so much family interference that they are never able to build the marriage foundation, also tragedy and even past infidelity seem to come to light very early
but many other are just lazy and do not work at marriage and i think on the same lines as you they rushed into a marriage with wrong idea or motives

Some people just really don't know what they want from life, and a lot of them don't take their wedding vows seriously any more!
Living together before marriage seems to be a lot different than being married to someone, I keep hearing, also, so this maybe accounts for some of it, too.
Some people just get bored very easily and are ready to move on--its a pity, cause they surely are bound to miss out on some terrific relationships this way!

You have to look at this in the light of past and even current human history when it comes to marital union.
There have been arranged marriages for thousands of years.
In the U.S. wild west, women used to pack up and travel west offering themselves to anyone in marriage because it would serve a purpose of each.
In each, there is no love whatsoever and their marriages worked.
How can this be?
They did not live together. They didn't even know each other's names!
It worked because marriage is NOT ABOUT LOVE! It's about acceptance and forgiveness. It's about mutual respect and continual understanding.
Read the Bible. This is what it says all the time about how men and women "should contend" with each other.
When someone says that "they should live together" to find out about each other - this is a flat out lie! This person is not being accepting or respectful at all!. What they are doing is SHOPPING! They are setting themselves up for failure because they are going into the relationship with the understanding and the assumption that if there is anything that they don't like - they can pack it in and walk away. ANY REASON!
People today do not understand what "promise" means.
The reason that people get divorced is because they are 100% SELFISH! And selfishness has no place in marriage. Dah! That's why they failed.

You have to realize that 100% of marriages don't succeed. It's about a 50-50% chance. Unfortunately, you ended up in the 50% chance that didn't succeed. Don't worry. I have been down that road.
