I'm 22 and I've started dating this amazing 24 yr old guy who claims he's a virgin..He's fairly religious (christian) & has manners compared to a couple guys i've gone out with. He did not try to make a move on me or even kiss me on the first couple dates. However, on the 3rd date he could barely keep his paws off me.. ;) I'm fine with it, but I do plan to remain a virgin til married (yes there are still some of us out there haha). Before we started dating he said (on his own) how he feels that way too.. I think I trust him but I'm just not totally sure if he's truly a virgin... Are there ways a guy acts or the way he reacts to things to tell he's a virgin? I do know he got super excited & maybe even had an orgasm from me touching/rubbing outside his pants.. I would think itd take a lot more for a non-virgin. I don't have much dating experience, ladies (and guys) please help me out.. Because if he isn't a virgin it's prob a lot more likely he just wants in my pants. We do have an intense, really amazing chemistry. And seem to just hit it off really well in other ways, too. We laugh & talk on the phone basically every night etc. thanks for any insight, tips/advice! :)

Every guy is different, and I don't think you can ever know for sure. If he volunteered his virgin status before you did, that's a good sign. If he volunteered after you, then that's no sign at all. Orgasm in his pants? Yeah, that's a good sign, too. Perhaps you might find occassion to ask one of his closest friends or even an ex-girlfriend casually. If they're trustworthy, that could seal the deal.
All that being said, I wouldn't worry about it. If he proves to be the total package for you, you're going to want to just take his word. And even if he wasn't a virgin, if he was the total package for you, then you need to forgive him and marry him anyway.
Also, a word of caution: you say you're going to wait until marriage, but if you keep up the heavy petting, you're going to slip. I know too many people who let their guards down that way. Sounds like you need to set some serious boundaries, or hurry up and get married. June weddings are nice.
Sounds like you have similar chemistry as my wife and me. We knew after three weeks. The rest of the year was just a formality. That was 18 years ago. Did I mention that June weddings are nice? |

I'm a Christian and my husband and I were both virgins.
From my limited dating experience, the ones I believed to be virgins kept appropriate distance (kisses and hugs at the most), the ones who weren't were much more agressive and tried to put their hands all over me.
I knew my husband was a virgin because I knew his history - he said he had very little dating and no previous serious relationship experience, and everything I ever heard from church or family confirmed this.
BTW, I think you are going too far if by "touching/rubbing outside his pants" you mean at the front, basically rubbing his **** through his pants. Pushing the boundaries as far as possible is not a good idea in my opinion. |

Well at least some Christian is having a little summer romance, none here. Absolutely none! God said in His Word "old things are passed away" when you become Christian and so if he is or he isnt it shouldnt really be an issue because all you need to know is he is a decent person right now while you are together, and indeed if God wants you both together. You should really ask him if you're unsure. And for someone who isn't a virgin, almost anything can get you excited, someone rubbing your lower regions would definitely set you off. |
