Problem with wife and mother-in-law?

You need to talk to your wife. JUST your wife and talk about what is going on. Apologize for all of the arguing and such.

Then bring up the mother in law. CALMLY! You want to keep a good positive area for you both to talk. and take turns. Talk about how you feel she is getting mad at you for no reasons, and let here say what she has to say and please listen.

If she feels the same way you need to confront the mother. She is ruining your marraige which might be her goal but you cannot let that happen if you both are happy. Good luck.

I would expect my wife to defend me against ANYBODY. Mother, father, sister, brother, or anybody. Your wife should give her mother two choices. Cut the silly crap out, or get out of OUR lives. I know I wouldn't allow anybody in my family to yell at my wife. I'd give ONE warning, and if they continued, I'd throw them out of my house, or leave wherever the yelling was occurring. I'd NEVER have anything more to do with them. Nothing on earth is more important to me than my wife. We are a package deal. People can either get along with both of us, or have zero relationship with either.

I had the same problem with my husband. He's mother always wanted to be in OUR relationship. You just need to tell her kindly to back off. Tell her you guys need to work on your marriage yourselves, and you don't really need her help with little things. Tell her if you need her, you'll ask for help.

Why is that bit++ around you so much? Does she live with you or does she come to your house and tell you how to act? You need to put that skank in her place! She has no right to control you! Your wife needs to tell her to back off and tell her she is no longer allowed in the house trying to control everyone. I bet she is single too!

I had a mother in law who use to tell me I was fat! yes, she hated me and didn't want our marriage to last. She pushed it once to often, we are still married 5 YRS on, We don't have anything to do will her at all. She will not be part of our family as we set the standards and she has fallen short. So we both decided that our family would be better off with out her device nature. We went to a 'relate councilor' just to make sure there was someone independent and we were not pushing the other.
You must talk to your wife and explore all options, as this behavior must stop! Its up to you two to make that happen- Good Luck!

Do you live with your mother in law?? .. sounds like you should have a talk with her and let her know that you love her daughter and you're not going to leave her. That you make her happy and she should leave you guys alone.. She can't change the fact her daughter loves you so the best thing to do is to let you guys be happy. And try talking to your wife, she should learn to not let those things get to her, or let her have the talk with her own mom

You don't have to put up with that sh*t from a mother in law, tell her to fu*k off.
