my mom has to drive to michigan every month to take me and my 2 sisters to see my dad even when she doesnt have the money. the court said every month but i dont think its fair on my mom. My dad has never came down to indiana to pick us up or see us. he wastes his money on starbucks and videogames. I want your opinion.

Your mom is doing the right thing. Unfortunately, doing the right thing sometimes costs us alot emotionally, financially, or otherwise and alot of times it isn't fair.
Your mom loves you alot and she is a wonderful mom for doing what she is doing...don't worry about how unfair it is to your mom...she loves you enough to make this trip. The best thing you can do to help her is to tell her you love her so very much and show her by listening to her when she asks you to do something, by not arguing with her, and maybe even making her bed or making a meal for her once in a while. Do something wonderful for her even if your dad doesn't.
Then tell your dad how wonderful mom is for making the long journey to drop you guys off. Tell him that your mom is the greatest and tell him how grateful you are to have her as your mom.

Your mom's divorce settlement should have specified that your dad has to come pick you up, and she has to drive to his place to retrieve you. If it doesn't then there must have been a reason that they arranged it this way. |

Ask you dad can he pick you up, and see what he says. If he says he cant then say well we wont be down there this time. make sure you let your mom know. My parents never were married but they separated when i was younger, and my dad always pick me up. Now I'm 23 and I just visit him, whenever I get a chance. |

Umm, no, if the non-custodial parent wants their visitation it's usually the other way around. My dad had to come get us if he wanted us and he never actually came to get us. Well, he did once and he has 7 kids by my mom. |

time to change the arrangement. if she's having a hardship taking you back and forth. AND I dont see how that is good for you living one month here and one month there anyway.
I cant believe the court would approve or that your mom didnt fight regarding that unless the trip is only a couple of hours once a month
