Question for wives about husband's clothes?

I think mens' clothes should come with Garanimals tags so they can tell what matches when their wives are gone/ sleeping. Sounds condescending, but women aren't the ones walking around in nonmatching clothes.

My husband thinks Camouflage match EVERYTHING! So I just walk a few steps ahead or behind and pretend to whisper about him. LOL

My fiance has the world's worst sense of style. It's sloppy and most of the time the shirts he wears are nearly in rags. He's in charge of people at his office, even though it's really relaxed, and I would love for him to dress a little more like a professional grownup.

However, it's not my responsibility and I certainly don't take it personally. I doubt that anyone looks at him and thinks "wow, if only she would nag him a little more about his clothes."

I have too much going on in my OWN life to really be too upset over his sartorial choices.

I used to feel like that. At some point I realized that the way he looks is a reflection of him, not me. His fashion sense has also improved over the years..lol

Hell no! I wear mismatched clothes. I like being comfortable!!

Not embarrassed at all, I expect that of my husband as he never wears matching clothes anyway! Plus he doesn't work with many women and besides, does it really matter what anyone else thinks??!

lol, I used to be like that a long time back, not now. My husband frequently wears shirts or jumpers that have holes so big you could drive a bus through and if I ask for the offending item so I can sew it or more often than not I sneakily bin them they are that bad he refuses.
I am used to him being this way now and I can even go shopping and hold his hand in public, regardless of how mismatched and holey he is.
We have been together 11 years and we still laugh lots together.

Haha.. thats a good question!! well maybe you can subtly suggest to your husband to change his style or when he wears something you like u can say stuff like heyy u look awesome! i wish you wore stuff like this everyday so everyone can see how handsome you are :D...hehe, hope that helps

I would never be embarrassed of my man, no matter what he wore. The only rules you break when you wear unmatched clothes are fashion rules- it's not a crime. The way one dresses is also a reflection of his/her personality. Shame on anyone who does ridicule a person for the way they dress. So what!? That is petty. If a person follows good hygiene habits, is committed to his/her job, doesn't break any laws... why would this give reason to talk about him/her?

i wud certainly bring his attention to it.. and suggest what he might wear to work..
but if he is comfy, why worry urself?

I believe what other people think is important and even helpful, but in areas where it is preference, we shouldn't obsess about their opinions. If you have a good enough relationship with your husband, you could ask if he would like your help putting a couple of items together. Some men have no fashion sense and we can be helpful. Others are color blind (more common in men). I've been married 26 years and when I first met my husband, he needed some help. I bought a few new shirts for him and told him how good he looked in them. I've also made it a point to compliment him on certain combinations. Being complimented and praised for things usually encourages us to repeat them.

On the big picture, as long as he has integrity and good work ethic and is respected at work, that's better than than what's on the outside. If his appearance might be harming that, time to have a talk and give him some help.

If the problem is mostly with you worrying how others view YOU, that would be something you would have to resolve with yourself. Learn to be comfortable with who you are and who he is.

No. As long as his style is not preventing him from opportunities at work, then I don't care. I wish he would dress better sometimes, but at the end of the day, I'm more happy to finally see him than I'm upset about his clothing.
