Should I call the cops?

i just went outside to smoke- and our house is at the end of a cul-de-sac. There is an suv parked and obviously two people are in it. It sounds like they are arguing. The car is turned off- and they flipped the lights on for .02 seconds, so i couldnt really see what is going on. I've been sitting in our front office for awhile now- and can see when cars drive down the road- so they either drove down the road with the lights off- or they've been sitting there a really long time. I find it odd they are sitting there with the car off- because we live in michigan and it's close to zero outside right now.
Am I just being a paranoid mother at 1:45am? Or should I call the police and let them know something "suspiscious" is going on?
Additional Details
I called the cops because the car has been sitting there for almost 2 hours now in the cold and in the dark (there arent street lights) and our neighbors live in ireland in the winters and arent home- so it has me a little worried something is going on!

you could call the police, and let them know there is a suspicious vehicle that you don't recognize as any of your neighbors, with two people in it, parked by the road side. ask them to drive by and check it out.

I live in WI so long time ago I would have called the cops.

I do know how cold is around here to be in a car turn off.

i'd call the police, especially if their being loud.

i would call. Me and my friends sometimes sit in the car in front of their house for a while and talk (but i live in tx and it never gets that cold) but sometimes the cops will come and knock on the window and we just tell them that we live here and they go along their way. So i would call and if nothing is going on then the cops will leave the people alone. But if something happens.... your gonna wish you had called...

I would call you never know plus maybe someone in the car is there agianst there will.....also it's better to be on the safe sid and well if nothing is wrong at least you will feel more secure.

Yes, call it in as a suspicious person. If they aren't doing anything, they should be glad the cops are checking on the neighborhood.

It can't hurt to call the cops... worst case scenario the cops show up, ask the people what they are doing.... even if it turns out to be nothing the police won't care....

It wouldn't hurt to call the cops, just remain anonymous if possible. Give them the street name, but not your adress. It's probably nothing, but better safe than sorry.

I think you should be on the safe side and call the non-emergency number. Just file a report of suspicious activity. Let them know what was going on. And if you remember the license place number, that would be great. Maybe some more details about the SUV. Don't worry too much and get some sleep.

Maybe you missed them go inside and they are no longer in the vehicle. But call to be sure everyone is safe.

I'd spy for a little bit longer. If they take the fight outside of the vehicle, or things look like they're getting violent, then call. But for now, I'd stay out of it.
