Should I wait up for my husband?
Find answers to your legal question.

Should I wait up for my husband?

He is out for a meal and drink with some visiting people from work.
If I wait up he might be late and I won't be able to get up for work.
If I go to bed I will sleep then he will crash around, paw at me and once I am awake he will go to sleep and snore and stink of curry!

Steve B - it's a sad world if you can't let your other half out for the night without suspecting he has another woman!!!

LoL. Sounds just like my husband. He went out with friends a couple of weeks ago with out me (I was tired and chose not to go). I didn't care that it was 3am when he came home. What bothered me was he banged around the bedroom until he woke me then thought I wanted to talk until he finally fell asleep around 6am..grrrrr.

The best advice I can give you is to go to bed and get what sleep you can before he gets home. :)

Take yourself to the spare bedroom girl, and hang a 'DO NOT DISTURB' notice on the door!

go to sleep and lock the bedroom door.... OR fall asleep on the couch.... OR call him and tell him that if you are asleep dont wake you up.. even if you are on the couch.

Lock the damned door and get a good nights sleep. He'll be in the car in the morning.

Stay up, go to bed....what does it matter? The result will be the same.

Go to bed... but leave him a note somewhere he'll find it. *I'd prefer to have waited, but I needed to make sure I could wake up in the morning [and I didn't know how long you'd be]. I love you, good-night, and here's a kiss 'till morning.*

Well if he loved you he should have invited you to go with him, so you could have a wonderful tiem too. But the best thing to do is go to bed and sleep because if you have to go to work you need to sleep. Even if you sleep for about 3 or 4 hours at least you won't feel too tied. SO get some sleep and don't wait up.

tonal9nagual
go to sleep in another room, and lock the door! Tell him just like you did all of us, the reason you are doing this , because he stinks and snores and you have to go to work!

Sounds like a no win situation.
If one of the kids are young enough, on these evenings they can be with mum and the man can bend his knees a bit in a smaller bed.

If it s just one day then go to bed & try to wake up once he is home to see him try to stay cool.God bless u

You need to go to bed and if he "paw" at you, you need to tell him that you have to go to work in the morning so we can have food on our table, clothes on our back, and a roof over our head.

You should sleep on the couch - don't wait up for him.

No just go to bed and lock your door that way he doesn't wake you up.

go sleep in another room n lock ur doors, that way he wont be able to disturb u...

the problem is not your husband, its where to find the guts to say all the things churning inside each time he comes late.

my husband does the same, comes staggering back in the wee hours of the morning. i solved my problem (mostly!) by discussing rules when he was in his right mind:) kept it simple so he could remember- when u drink, no touching. to keep the point home i sometimes make him sleep in the guest room or i move out and sleep with my 8-year old. then the next day HE has to answer the question "Why did mum sleep in my bed?"

your already awake now but ive started to answer soi will finish.
I wouldnt have waited up, try and get into a deep sleep before he comes home all smelly and noisey. I think its nice that you still think about him that much to ask the question obviously still very much in love

Go to bed , But 1st make sure you put some bedding on sofa for him with a note saying he has to sleep with dog for the night as you need your sleep?

What about letting him know that you will be going to bed before he gets home and would appreciate it if he would just come into bed when he gets home and try not to wake you so you can get your sleep.

Go to bed and sleep.
But tomorrow, lay some ground rules down as to what will happen if this situation arises again.
Its unfair to disturb your sleep when you have work in the morning, so suggest if he intends having a night like this again, he sleeps in the spare room or comes in at am agreeable hour.
Night night

Go to bed and get a good sleep! Leave a note for him telling him you love him, and if he loves you not to wake you up stinking of curry, lol! Nighty night.

Kim H
Go to bed if you want to be well rested - do something for yourself. If he wants to see you he can always wake you up.
