My friend has a dilemma. He lives in the UK and is in love with a girl from Asia. Her working visa expires in a few months and she is going back to Asia for good. My friend is wondering whether he should leave everything behind to go with this girl to live in Asia, or to stay in UK and never see her again? He feels he will never meet anyone like her. She does not want to live in the UK, but he feels he cannot live in Asia forever. How much can love go through? What would you do in his situation? Please help!

Hi, thanks for the answers so far. One thing, she does not want to live/stay in the UK ever... So my friend would have to live in Asia for the rest of his life...

Life is short so you should grab happiness where you can.
In the short term he should go and visit her on a holiday to investigate the area and see what his life would be like. You never know, he might love it there, or completely hate it and the decision will be an easy one.
He should do some research and contact ex pats currently living there to see how they are getting on and what they miss.
If she never wants to live in the UK though it will put a huge strain on their relationship, and if she loves him too, should consider coming back here at some point - otherwise he is the one making all the sacrifices. |

I would think for someone living in the UK to move to Asia would be a real wake-up call for them..Everything is going to be different, including the food...weather....crowded streets...I think it could be a very hard adjustment, esp. if his family is still in the UK...Think twice..Good Luck... |

He can marry her and she can acquire UK citizenship. If he has good career prospects he can move to Asia. If you want to find excuses there can be many. But if he loves her then there is no room for Excuses. |
