my husbadn recently found out that he had a kid with his ex and the ex suddenly emailed him about that. shoud I give up our relationship because of that?

not if he didn't cheat on u, but keep in mind that if this child is for sure his, he will be paying child support, getting visitation, the ex will be in your life, and sometimes there are problems if she is the jealous type who wants him back. sometimes it just creates too much drama in people's lives, and they just don't want to deal with it, it depends how u feel about it. |

Why? If he was not cheating on you with this ex when you guys were married, then there is no reason to give up on your marriage with him. You husband should request a DNA test to be done to determine if the child really is his and if so, he will have to pay child support. |

If he got his ex pregnant before you two got together and she didn't tell him about it til now, it's not his fault. I would get a DNA test done and find out the child birthday, that will explain a lot. If all proves that he did not cheat on you, than support him in this. Don't ruin a perfectly good marriage on something that happened before you. |

That was before the two of you got together..the child surely did not ask to be born, but the husband now has to deal with the fact that he has a child, that child should be part of his life..it's another big adjustment for all of you |

Was he cheating? Does this change the way you see him. I don't see why it would have any affect on the relationship unless he wasn't being faithful to you.

Why? If he didn't cheat on you then I don't see having a child as a deal breaker. I would advise that you have a paternity test done on the child to make sure it's really his though. |

Ouch! That is tough. Especially if you didn't want children. If you love your husband then no because he didn't know and it is probably a shock to him and he is innocent. If he CHEATED on you that is another story. In that situation, you would have to consider forgiveness, and if you can't then take your leave. |

Why would you give up on your husband so quickly. If he was in love with the ex then Id say walk away but if he is just talking about taking care of his responsibilities then thank the heavens above for giving you such a good caring responsible man. |
