Should i leave or stay?

I was in a similar situation.
When I met my boyfriend I was a size 6. Then I got really ill and was put on a steroid. I gained 60lbs (same size as you for awhile) from this and couldnt do anything about it because of my illness.

I then lost 35 of it, and am back down to a 10 almost 8 now. I do this for me and NO one else. I hated looking in the mirror, I hated seeing my bloated body. So I went to the gym, went out for walks, started watching my portions on food...and I am starting to look damn good again... Problem is...he started getting on my case when I went out without him. He started putting me down b/c he started getting insecure.

My bet is that your husband is the same. He is just insecure about you being a hottie. So you have to ask him that. Get him thinking about it. He may not answer you initially b/c men tend to hear "KNA KNA" when we talk...but eventually they come around and hear us and answer truthfully.

You need to just be healthy- for you not your husband. He needs to be supportive. He should be proud of you on his arm...and if this is the only issue, I dont think it is worth leaving...but definately something that you should talk to him about.

Loose weight for yourself. Jealous of WHAT?? He wants you to loose weight so ask what his problem is. Be happy with yourself and loose the weight for you!!

lose the weight to where you are comfortable and reassure him hes the only one for you. If his comments get worse then he has some deeper issues and he might need help. Why dont you ask him to join you in the exercize ?

That is up to you only, but I don't think it is a good reason to leave.

First off, you need to make yourself happy first, does he want you to lose weight because he is worried about your health or is it all about the way you look. Why not loose the weight for you not him. Ask him what he thinks about you loosing some weight, if he is that worried than ask him to help you. Go for walks as a couple, plant a garden, start making health choices. Good Luck

There is more to this. Get interested in your husband and some activities with him. Move around and get away from the TV. The weight will come off and You two will like each other better.

First talk to him.....and explain how his verbal input makes you feel. Tell him to stop doing that.

Next....if you're truly ready to lose the extra weight find buddy and join a weight lose group like Weight Watchers.

Don't set yourself up for failure by trying to lose all the extra weight in 3 months.....look at it as a life change.

Don't do it him or anybody else.....you deserve to be the best you can be....for you.

Don't listen to your friends if that is the only major issue you do not have much to worry about. Lose the weight for yourself and your health and let your husband deal with his jealousy issue for himself once you are not doing anything for him to feel jealous about.

So start walking and the weight will come off. As you slim down be sure and tell your husband how much you love him, in other words reassure him. As you get skinny again he is worried you will leave. I wish people would understand, the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence but where you water it. Take care of your marriage, take care of yourself. If people would put the effort into their marriage/relationship it will be happier for both of you. Good luck.
