Your wife cheated (even if it was 'only' emotional). It's going to take some time to be able to give her what you used to give her. Take your time, this isn't going to go away anytime soon. The sense of betrayal is devastating so don't rush it. I wish you the best.

At least your wife came clean about the emotional support thing at work. And cheaters come up with all kinds of excuses for stepping out on their spouse. Talking is good but who is doing all the talking as the problem still remains of the thrill is gone. Good luck on your decision.

im sorry about what you are going through and emotional cheating is still cheating and it will leave you with a feeling of rejection and betrayal....all is not lost though. You both need to reconnect with eachother, try to get back to where you were when you fell in love and fall in love all over again. I am a true believer that people cheat because they are weak, but also because they are trying to fill a void....it is possible that you weren't giving her what she needed, you DID NOT deserve to be cheated on, but there were deficiencies (be honest with yourself)....Reconnect, fall in love and be honest with her and yourself about the way you are feeling or you are just setting yourselves up for more problems. The feelings will come back eventually, but right now...your body is responding to your inner feelings....TALK, LISTEN and GROW with your wife through this. I have actually seen couples come out stronger because of situations like this. This is an amazing opportunity to really grow in your relationship with your wife. She loves you too!

If you both still love and care for each other there is no reason this cant get patched up. I would say if you worked on meeting her emotional needs first, yours would be met since she will appreciate you again and bring back the love thats been lost. Hopefully you arent mad at her for talking to her co-worker though. I see my co-workers due it all the time. I personally dont do that but I havent been married to the same person 7-10 years. Try going out of your way to do something really nice for her, like cook her a nice candle light dinner and make an effort to sit down and talk. If you guys arent talking for 3-4 hours then nothing will get resolved. I know guys dont like to open up emotionally but it will help and she will appreciate you for doing it. Bring up that you cant orgasm anymore, just be totally honest with her about everything, how you see her now. Tell her things you normally wouldnt and allow her to do the same. If shes not willing to go along then maybe shes not happy and you may not be able to work out your differences. Good luck.

I think its time you guys went to marriage counseling. There is something wrong there since your wife is leaning on another for emotional support, and you since you do not feel a closeness to her anymore and now can not perform.

These are all red flags that something is not right. Seek help from a professional before it gets worse.

It seems like there are separate issues here.
1st one being that she is seeking emotional support outside yours. Is that so bad, not sure, woman like to talk about thier feelings, usually it's to other woman. So this is a concern.

Aside from that, she deserves your emotional support. I as well like the books from Laura S.,as well as books from Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.
Books like these are good to keep around the house for moments like these, when you think your losing faith but you're just in a rough patch.
Invest in them, and keep them on hand.
Encourage your wife to read them as well, a good one for her right now would be " love and respect" by Dr. Eggerichs.
A good one for you would be " cracking the communication code" by Dr. E eggerichs.
Dr. Laura has a great one for woman, called "The proper care and feeding of husbands" it's about wifely duties and don'ts.

Hang in there, you love her, you just need some spice and respect back.

Maybe it is time to pick up a book by Dr. Laura. Your wife deserves your emotional support and if she feels she is getting it then things will get back to normal.
