Demand him to go to anger management. Get counsel for your self. If he even comes close to doing it again then its should be over. I personally would leave until he gets help and not go back until he completes a demostic violance course also. Some people get to a boiling point and explode. Some one or something set him off. I am sorry you have to go through this, but I have one question. Is this the first time? You know what you have to do. You need to leave you may not have any where to go, but there is places and people that will help you. This is very toxic relationship when a man hit his wife. Nobody deserves to be hit, maybe next time it will be worse. Remember a mans fist are to protect, hold and love his wife not hit her.
