I'm looking to leave an emotionally abusive relationship. What do I need to do before telling him that I'm leaving to best prepare. He is somewhat unstable, so I'm fearful and worried about the consequences. We have separate finances.

Oh, we've been married for two months. Does this qualify for annulment in Maryland?

I would call the National Domestic Violence Hotline. 1-800-799-SAFE. It is a wonderful resource. They can help you with a plan for leaving, help you if you need to find a place to go, help with counseling, everything. They will help you with things you didn't even think of. Good Luck, hon. Yes I think you can get it annuled after only 2 months. Just sit him down and explain it's not working and you want out. |
