Tattoo (and love) question...?

So...I have always been told that all your tattoos should reflect who you are, and they should be important to you. I have 3 previous ones, all having to do with my life, lifestyle, etc. (I won't go into it)....
Recently, my wife and I have been having problems. She is moving out for a few months to figure out what she wants to do, even though I know our problems are minor and can be solved. I know she loves me, and I love her more than I can possibly say. We've been together 5 years and I think we can have a great life together.
Anyway...onto the question, haha.
I've been thinking for years about another tattoo, and I think in these hard times it's a good time to get it...but I need to know if it's dumb. Starting on my inside right wrist, going along my inside arm I was going to have written:
"colui che ama ed è amato, è tutto."
Which is Italian for "He who loves and is loved, has everything."
Is this silly? I think this is imperative to remind me of what is important in life.

I think that's a really great tattoo idea, and the phrase rings true. I'm also 100% for tattoos that represent where you are in your life at that moment. I don't know what you do for a job, but consider being able to cover it up before you put it on your forearm.
Also, just a thought: take out the comma. It doesn't seem to make grammatical sense. It's one fluid sentence. |

if it has meaning for YOU that is what counts. it's not dumb. what is dumb is that you think a tattoo would remind you of what is important in life. your relationships and the state of your life should do that. |

I feel its really important to you, and if you think its important to yourself, then you should get it. In my personale oppinion, I think it seems kind of "full of themself" but thats just my opinion. ♥ |

You should do whatever you want to do. I personally would get one representing the work that i do. Like a big tat that says clerks on the back or something. Now i don't know what you do but if you feel passionate about you should just do it. |

Personally it sounds like a really lame tattoo. Save the expense and ink for something you think through and are more passionate about. I've never seen a good one with writing and figure every dope that has chinese scrolling probably has "dumbass" or something tattooed instead of what they paid for. |
