Trying to understand why my husband lost his temper, need advice.?

When my husband and i started dating he told me he like a girl and she ended up dating one of his friends i thought nothing of it and left it at that. (8 years ago) Two days ago i had a strange dream, i dreamt that the girl he liked was a girl i know, she is in his circle of friends. when i asked him he denied it at first but then said yes she was the one he like but did not elaborate. Being curious i asked him how serious did it get between the two since shes still around, i figure i had the right to know or dont i? He lost his temper and said that he did not want to talk about the past and that it was stupid of me to bring up these questions, i haven't seen him mad like this in long time. ( she is currently married with children and so are we) So since his best friend is my friend too, i asked him how serious was it between the two because i was starting to think he was still in love with her after at least eight to ten years. His friend said that my husband liked her but she was never interested, they never went out alone, never talked much, never started anything, but she did date and ended up marrying one of his friends. so i dont think you can be inlove with someone you never knew but why did he blow up on me. He said he cant stand it when i start thinking about nonscense and start asking stupid questions. Can someone help me figure why he acted the way he did and was i out of line? sorry so long. Additional Details thanks for taking the time to answer my question, i gave me insite on how he's feeling

Perhaps because after eight years together and (i assume) him not acting inappropriately with other women, his wife decides to question him over something because she dreamed about it. That doesn't seem a little odd to you? You stated he gets frustrated with you when he thinks your focusing on unimportant things and questioning him about them. Could it be that this is yet another instance in which your questioning is about something that is unimportant (because it's the past and not relevant to boot) and honestly just weird (with the whole coming out of nowhere). I get the impression that he never knows what to expect from you when he walks in the door and that this isn't always a pleasant thing for him (but obviously this is just a guess). Leave the man alone, if he's not doing anything that makes you think he's acting inappropriately, you have no reason to question him over some girl he like ten years ago. |

if u once cared for someone and they didn't want u, would u want to talk about it to anyone if u were rejected? |

He's with you.
He loves you.
Why does this even matter to you?
Don't live in the past. |

Don't go digging too deep. He was hurt by her rejection -- that is the anger part. The fact that U did talk to her should put your mind at ease. Their relationship was no big deal.
Enjoy what U have now, and try not to bring it up again. |

I have to agree with Jude up there
your husband obviously hated the feeling of being rejected and didn't/doesn't like talking about a time where he wasn't good enough. Trust me, guys get upset about silly things |
