Un happy and unemployed?

hello everyone. i have a huge problem, like many Americans i'm jobless. it annoys me. i just turned 18 but no where is hiring. i ran out of places to find jobs. i have to ask my mom for money. all the time!! and she complains about it. i feel helpless. i wanna help my mother out paying for things that i need. and i'm graduating this year. and i'm scared i won't find a job in the summer. or at all. what do i do.
i need money. my own. i'm sick of depending on people for money.

Yes, it's very difficult to get a job-- even at McDonald's. Keep trying and apply for many jobs, something will come up. In the meantime, you can help your mom keep the house clean, laundry, mowing the lawn and stuff. I'm sure she wouldn't mind giving you money for that.

Maybe you can find a neighbor that needs a babysitter or the lawn mowed every week.

All you can do is keep on trying and have faith with time that something will pour through. Have you tried doing job searching online and going out to give C.Vs. Try by all means...all you can do is try and if you can't find anything try to do something positive or beneficial that will be worthy of your future.

One can always get a job at Mickey D's, Taco Bell or Burger King...might not be EXACTLY what you want to do...but you will earn money...

What about seasonal work...lifeguard, summer camps, lawncare jobs, etc. There's got to be some seasonal work starting to be available.

You could put up flyers to be a dog walker or babysitter to get money here and there til a full-time job comes up.

You can go to local grocery stores. I worked in one for 2.5 years and then another for another 2 years. before that i was a waitress. You can even babysit as I did in the past. Its a good way to earn money. And yes fast food places, grocery stores, restaurants, and babysitting is probably not your ideal job but its still a job. you could even put in the newspaper that you will clean houses. Good Luck!

I know and everyone is having trouble with this economy and Im sorry to say that you probably arent gonna beable to fully depned on yourself but your parents will understand. So you could also go job hunting at night. Comeon everyone is qualified for one job. Dont worry you will get a job!
