If you are living in America that is illegal. Once he marries you unless he divorces you he can't get married again otherwise the state he lives in case press charges and the government can press charges. So if he wants to take the risk go ahead, but he may end up in jail with no wife.

i guess that depends on where you live. if you live in the U.S. you can remind him it's illegal. but i suppose that if you dont live here, you're going to have a tough time convincing him not to.
remind him of all the biblical couples (Muslims have the story of Abraham and Issac and Jacob dont they?) who had multiple women (in Abraham's case it wasnt a second wife, but his wife's handmaid) that had all kinds of problems b/c of it. Particularly Jacob. King David had huge problems b/c of multiple wives as did King Soloman.

there are big misunderstanding. muslims are allowed for second marriage for sure but only in three conditions.
first if wife cant be pregnent ever and at the same time if wife agreed to get him marry again.
second if any widow is there who cant get marry ever easily again the conditon is there if wife agreed to get him marry again.
and third women is physically disabled or any major reason that cant get marry easily. same condition if wife agreed to get him marry again.
some maniacs do second marriage. like your husband. in this condition if wife does not agree he must be hanged till death. or in addition to that wife must find another one in front of his husband's eyes most crual punishment for husband.

I know a muslim couple well I am friends with the wife and I did ask her how would she feel if her husband took another wife. An she stated she is good with it as long as he could afford both of them and I told her would it bother her and she stated she was raised muslim so she is use to that her father had two wives and 7 children between the two. I dont know if you were born muslim or became muslim later but that is part of the religion and no he won't go to jail like some said because it won't be a civil wedding it will be a muslim wedding in the eyes of the law it won't be legal but in the eyes of your religion it will be.

What country do you live in? Most countries do not accept more than one marriage at a time. If you live where it is possible to have more than one wife at a time, just refuse. Depending on his reasons for wanting another wife, he may be able to divorce you then it really would be a mute point
