We don't want to lose our friendship, but we both have issues with our ex. He said he loves me?

and that we don't know what the future holds. He also said this is not the last time we will see each other because he believes in "never say never". He wants to keep our friendship. He said he loves me and feels close to me. He said we can't be in a relationship anytime soon. I love him dearly and have gotten close. He is a nurturing friend. I do need a break from him to help my ex in a crisis and to focus on my life more. He needs a break to help his ex with problems she is having and I agree it's the right thing to do. I am jealous but my heart is not broken if I lose him forever.
I am wondering if he is sincere about what he is saying to me. Does he mean what he says or is he just "letting me down" easy, or is he afraid I won't be there if he and his ex part ways?

No, he's not sincere. You were dead-on: He just wants to make sure you're still around when he gets done messing with his ex. Problems? Pfshh. The only problems he's having with his ex are what position and which room.
If I were you, I'd tell him to **** off and find someone who's NOT going to @ss around and blame it on "problems" from another woman. |
