That is going to vary for each individual. All of us aren't identical, just as women aren't identical in THEIR responses and behaviors. This is something you and the particular man-in-question need to discuss twixt yourselves. |

my husband helps with the dishes now and then, without me asking =)
I don't expect it... he works 40 hours a week, I am happy to help do everything at home being his house wife =)
some days I wish the work week was shorter =(... but, that's life, people have to work to provide... |

Doing one thing. Polish a table or put the machine on or clean the bathroom- but one thing only- never two. Multi tasking is a no no for them. Mind you, this gets reflected in the bedroom- one move at a time! Two at once would be too enjoyable for the woman. |

My husband washes dishes and makes the beds, when he is here. Thats all he really has to do, since i clean the entire apartment before he gets here for the weekend. |

See the list, pinned on the fridge door, look at it whilst getting out a beer, shut the fridge door, and look at it again, add another item..."get more beers hun !!!" trip over the cats bowl, throw bowl into sink, look around for glass, all dirty, take out cats bowl, fill it with beer, and carefully, and without spilling a drop, manoeuvre around the vacuum, (that his wife absent minded forgot to put away)..throw TV mag on floor, not to far away from reach, sit down, and make a 'mental note' that come tomorrow... he'll do the house-work, he's promised to do that day....

I am a lucky woman, my husband does just as much quality housework as I do. Never even have to ask him to help, it just comes natural to him. We would rather work together to get something finished and then relax together. |

Depends on the guy. Majority are not into house work. My boyfriend cleans when he is in the mood. So, I guess this goes back to when women took care of the home while men work. |

My hubby (bless his soul) takes out the trash and changes the litter box. I'm in charge of everything else. Which is no huge deal since I'm a stay at home. But I wish he would pitch in a bit more without complaining. |

i hoover top to bottom (carpets that is) every week - 3 story house... i cook each evening (because i like to, but also because i'm better at it). when the washin needs doing, i'll do it - but at the weekend... i can't see any point doing it during the week & leaving it hanging all over radiators & clothes airers.
i'll mop all the ground floor & kitchen whenever it needs it too.
unfortunately i hate to dust. |

It depends, When I was working and my wife was not, I expect her to do most of it. I did dishes. When she was working and I was not, I did all of it, including the dishes. When we are both working, we split it up, depending on what needed to be done. |

I'm getting off of here now to do laudry before the old ball and chain gets home and kicks my ****!
No really I am a stay at home dad now and do it all, my wife does help... for the most part this is my responsibility while she makes the MONEY!
Before the kids and all I still did the house work... my wife has never done floors, toilets, or much of anything besides laundry and dishes.... oh yeh she is an awesome cook, the best!
Her sister says she has always been messy, so I guess we fit well.
I know back in my parents early days men did not do squat at home, but the women did not work outside the home much either. Today it is different, I for one can account for the "role reversal".
By the way I had rather be working and her stay home and she agrees... ain't that some stinky. |

my boyfriend does all the washing up all the tidying, makes the baby's bottles up, all i do is the washing and dusting so its equal in our home you see his mother taught him well, that is to respect women and help out when he can. he is a lovely man. |

My husband will do dishes or cook a couple times per week. He will also take out the trash and do his laundry. I don't mind doing the litter box, bathrooms, or vacuuming & dusting, so it works out. |

My husband does most of the cleaning. I'm pretty much a slob. But, when he gets up and starts cleaning, it usually inspires me to join him. He'll tackle the down stairs, and I'll get the up stairs. Also, he handles all the dishes. I hate dishes. |
