This past saturday,me,the wife and kids went to my mother-in-laws wedding reception.I was a little annoyed she got stuck helping to serve food.So I was there trying to rein in our 2 year old son.She called my sister to babysit my son,I thought he tired himself out but she insisted on time for ourselves.Our 5 year old daughter was behaving so she stayed.When I got back they had a keg.So I started drinking while my wife was still serving.I normally don't dance but I was drunk enough to try.So me and the wife danced but she started to dance with her friends and family.So I sat at the end of my table.My new father in law told me to help myself to his bottles of Cuervo and Jim Beam so I did.While I was in my corner I talked to whoever talked to me and danced with whoever asked me.I even tried to help a friend of the family hook up by asking a woman a dumb question just to get them talking.Well my 12 year old brother in law saw me talking to this lady and SO DID MY WIFE AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. So the next day my wife is mad ,telling me every woman I talked to said I was hitting on them.I remember everything I said and they were all harmless conversations.She said it was embarrasing that her husband was acting like that in front of her family.I said well I ain't no punkass bIt&& and I wasn't going to just sit in my corner while she mingled.Well we seemed to have made up yesterday before she went to school but when she came back after having a few beers with her aunt and granmother she came back talking smack and slapping me.It took every ounce to stop me from slapping her down and I avoided her till she went to sleep.I just called her from my lunch break,and she's being distant so WHAT'S HER PROBLEM?

Nah we're social drinkers. I can drink beer but liquor kicks my butt and my wife gets drunk fast since she had her gall bladder removed.We've been together for 8 years and married for 5 of them.We usually have a strong marriage but we have been fight alot lately.

shes wrong in hitting you, But why are you talking to other girls. if they start a conversation with you fair enough but you should be having fun with your partner and mingle with who she talks to. i don't blame her. |

Her problem is:
Your not even man enough to watch your own kids by yourself.
You got drunk, in front of her family instead of showing restraint, something a man has and boys don't.
You think that sitting by yourself makes you a punk, which means your a punk no matter what you do. |

You could have mingled with her instead of acting all immature.
First off, are you really that lousy of a parent that you cannot watch your 2 year old on your own? Come on it's not that hard. I care for THREE 2 year olds and a 10 month old on a daily basis. If you're having that hard of a time, take a parenting class. That's not meant as an insult, I'm being serious.
Second, it is totally inappropriate for you to go "mingle" with other drunk women. Stick with your wife! Yeesh!

She was mingling while you were getting drunk in a corner talking to drunk woman and you say she has a problem? So both you you were drunk while trying to care for at least 1 child and someone had to drive home. There are enough wrongs here to go around for both of you. It would seem to me that both of you were acting as immature spoiled little brats. |

I'm going to take a wild guess here....your inappropriate behavior in front of her family is "her problem". She probably got riled up again when her Aunt gave her added details of what you did. |

You both use alcohol to do and say things you don't normally. You obviously know this causes problems.
If you two would sit down and really communicate calmly and listen to each other, you could solve much of your problems. If you both are not willing to make changes, for yourselves and be good role models for your KIDS, then its better to walk. Your kids don't need to grow up and be just like they see you two behaving lately! |
