I don't know but I married my HS Sweetheart .We dated from the age of 16 he was 19.Got engaged at 19 he was 22.Got married at age 20.Im now 44 and he is 47 .Oct 6 we will have been married for 25yrs we also have 3 kids. |

Statistics are only meant to be a generalization; they don't actually measure or standardize anything. Since most statistics are gathered based on closed studies with limited participants and don't include the vast majority of the country, it would impossible to get real, factual data on these subjects.
I mean, I married my high school sweetheart and we've been married for eight years but no one has ever asked me to participate in a survey and be a statistic on this subject, so how would anyone ever be able to include me? I realize our marriage was recorded by the county, but no one knows that we were high school sweethearts.
The point is, the stats could be low depending on some survey or study conducted by some university or something, but I'm sure there are plenty of high school sweethearts out there in America who are still married and no one has ever asked them to be included in the statistics. |

Can't give you exact statistics - but the number I am sure is low. That was more common about 20-30 yrs ago but not as common today. |

I dunno probably 0.1%. I don't think there are stats. It would be an interesting area.
Unfortunately until they die we don't know if they'd stay married or not, lots of people get divorced after 20-30 years. And looking at a couple of generations ago isn't very reliable because it was a completely different time then with people married off earlier, stigma of divorce etc.
