I cant speak for others as to why they got married but my husband and i got married because we were and are still very much in love with each other and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
And for us nothing changed because we moved in together 3 months before marriage and by that time we already felt married. |

Make sure you know the person REALLY REALLY well... whatever bugs you about them now, that will be amplified times 10 when you get married. Don't think you can change them. Make sure you are with someone who is kind. |

Well wanting to get married is most girls dreams. It's also the way of life and the dreaming of a newer and more perfect lifestyle. Then reality checks in and you wind up hating it. It's much easier to dream about marriage but another to live it out. The pursuit is fun and romantic, you dress up and go out on the town. You get flowers and wined and dined. You hear what you have always wanted to hear and then, once you say I do, it slowly dies. No more time for wine and dine. No more romantic evenings and so one, reality checks in and you realize that you have to work much harder to stay married. Now it's a Job and no more fun! Better off staying single and living the dream then getting hitched and living out the nightmare! |

After the marriage people let their guard down and become their 'real' self and that's when the clashes begin, each having an idea of what to do that is different from the other and either is willing to compromise. |
