Is it better if they diviorced when you were very young, or is it better for them to stay together even if they are not happy and keep working at it?

If they're not happy, they don't need to be together. I was 10 when my parents divorced.. but I was happier to see them apart than be in the middle of their fights all the time. It's never easy when parents divorce, but sometimes it just happens. |

My parents divorced when i was two and then my dad divorced my step-mom when I was a teen, he then divorces wife #3 a few years ago after working very hard to make it work and has now found a great new lady that makes him happy and I adore. Therefor I say it is better to try but if it is not working then leave on a positive note.
If they had stayed together I would not have had the chance to see what a good marriage can be like and may have made the same mistakes they did.However, I learned that marriage is work and so is divorce. |

I wished my parents had divorced a lot sooner than they did. They stayed together for us kids, but in truth it was just years of heartache for both of them and non-stop arguments - nothing a child should ever have to listen to on a daily basis. |
