First, you must at least like/love each other, and then let each other be who they are. If you have to change them, then they are probably not right for you. Give each other space, and don't try to own each other. Be sure you are both going in the same direction, you know the same goals in life. Ask serious questions before you marry like religion, kids, jobs, ect. Hope this helps. |

well.. that question is tricky because if you have all the obvious ones then you should be just fine.. You should be pactient with your partner and learn that it's not always about you. Learn to compromise.. |

HONESTY AND INTEGRITY.
My Grandfather once told my sister, brother and I that the reason he had a marriage that lasted 50 years (and counting) is because he followed the advice given to him by his grandfather... who said:
"Don't do or say anything when you're away from your partner that you wouldn't do or say if they were standing in the room with you."
And, I would add to that... hide nothing. People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. Be honest and be an open book. If your partner catches you hiding things or lying, can you blame them if they freak out and don't trust you and the relationship goes down the tubes? |

My answer to this question is...God.
My explanation to my answer is the following...
There are three ways to connect to your partner in a relationship; emotionally, physically, AND Spiritually. The fact of the matter is, our emotions change, our bodies change, but God never changes. He is the consistency in any relationship and is the key in lasting through the ups and downs. In fact, Logan and I just discussed this the other day and practically said the same thing at the same time. It was great. lol. |

maybe this time...

The only other importnat details is being willing to compromise, not overanylizing actions, and avoid fighting over things of no importance. Also remembering that each person thinks in a different way than yourself. Good Luck |
