What happens if I cannot afford alimony?

I'd like to know the ramifications of not being able to provide the support required by a settlement agreement - do the bills just accumulate until I have enough income, and pay her later?
We both will be receiving a sizable amount from the sale of our home... could she just sue me to take the money out of whatever I invest it in - like a home... ????

Get a lawyer and see if the alimony can be reduced or stopped before you do anything.

if you cant afford alimony i expect you must have agreed to it, if you did and dont pay you will go to jail.
