What if i give up future relationship such as marriage for own hobbies? do you think it is worth it?

i am thinking of doing my stuff such as completing a few degrees, doing sport and other things...all which i want to do

however, i am 25 and all my hobbies will strain on my time..i dont think that i will have the time to get married, especially while trying to complete 4 degrees (psychology, sociology, history, MBA, psychology phd). all while working. so it is 3+3+3+3=12 years, but it will be more than that..probably something life 15.i will be 40 when i finish.

i know i sound wacko, but i am serious about the idea..
i dont expect to get a good looking wife that will take care of me and that i will like generally. in fact, i dont believe that the relationship would last more than 1 year.
i think spending time on developing myself (through career and study) rather on some woman that i dont want, may be more useful

please be serious, caues it is a life dilemma that i dont want to mess up
Additional Details
notice..that going for the choice of a wife,,is more of a gamble than developing myself

If you can handle being alone, then why not. Not everyone is meant to be married but the majority of people want to be with someone. Just go with the flow. If it happens it happens. You never know if you'll meet someone that fits you exactly when you start studying. Its nice to have all the free time to develop your career but it is also good to come home and have someone to talk to you and meet your needs. It just depends on your priorities but don't be afraid to change your mind if you are set to do your thing.

Well a lot more people are marrying later and later in life because more people are trying to pursue careers. These days education standards are raised and the marriage age and the age at which people have kids is rising. Doing what you want in life and having a career is important, you want to feel self fulfilled and achieve your goals. But make sure you do not regret not having a serious relationship. Some people can spend a longtime in school and work long hours but remember life is short. What are you going to remember the most spending time with your family or the long hours you spend on work? To me life is too short to spend a ridiculous amount of time in school and working, and you never know what life is going to throw at you and how long you have. Having people around you who love you is very important. And since you are studying psychology ( I have a degree in psychology) you should also know that some stats show that people who are married tend to live longer on average and show lower rates of mental illness such as depression. Just make sure whatever you chose is right for you and you don’t regret your choice.

It's a personal choice .

I don't understand why you would seek validation from strangers
but , it's free so go for it .

You are correct in your assessment of time allocation and
relationships . You can't have both . Taking the road less traveled
takes discipline and motivation .

A thrust for knowledge can be as compelling and satisfying as
that of love or a long term relationship .

do your hobbies, they are what makes you happy now. in the future if you feel a relationship will make you happy then pursue it then, not now. dont put something aside cuz your waiting for something your unsure of.

So do you want to be a jack of all trades? I am not sure why you want so many degrees. Education is not all in life. I worked with doctors and engineers who hated their jobs and ended up working for a survey company making phone calls at night. Plus, how are you planning to pay for all that education. If you can do it and certainly have the money then by all means go for it.

Just remember that life is short and you also need to give yourself time for many other things. And judging by your coment, you must have had a bad relationship before. You can't base your life out of that one experience. It is not what you get out of marriage but what you put into it. (Quote from a friend that has been married 30+ years)

You already have everything planned out, so why ask!
