Easy - I completely abandoned certain values I thought I would never lose. I dated a man who was completely focused on the material things in life. Of course it was easy to lose sight of what's truly important when you're being distracted by all the money that was being thrown at me in the form of gifts, trips, fancy dates, etc. But that's not me. When I finally got out, my friends breathed a collective sigh of relief because I was back....the true me. |

My father told me when I was younger that when a relationship ended, you should never go back, as whatever it was that broke you up in the first place would still be there. I lived by his advice for a long time, but in my last relationship there was 'something' telling me that it hadn't played out the way it should.....so I went back - and now we are getting married - so I'm not sure if that makes me silly, or him silly....or my Dad silly......but at the end of the day it made me happy!!! |
