my husband is a nepali and i'm from philippines we met here in qatar for work, we have our child who grew in phils and his 6yrs old now, he will study here soon. my husband have his close friend which he call uncle he have a daughter, its about 4 years old which is in nepal.
we met a few days back, while having our dinner with this guy, they suddenly mentioned to me that they agreed both to do the arrange marriage to our children, which really annoys me and unacceptable.
i don't talked that time coz i was shocked, i don't imagine that my husband did something stupid.
we were home when i spoke to him very seriously, told him that why he have to do the arranging our son to somebody, still his a child and i'm not in to it,
he answered, they were just joking, i replied, you are joking maybe but this guy won't joke and take it seriosly.
i told my husband never mentioned it anymore, even if its a joke, i dont wanna hear it, NEVER.
what can i do to stop this craziness!!!

that is absurd..every person has the right to choose his spouse and fall in love as he/she likes to..
the only thing what a parent can do is to influence his child to choose a man with good qualities and faith when it will be the time..but not show the person to whom marry |

theyre probably joking. Ive never heard of arranged marriages being arranged so early in nepal unless youre from some extremely remote village. even then its really really rare. |

You still have a lot of time to decide on the child's marriage. and with the legal laws getting more stringent.. i dont think child marriages woudl occur.. relax |
