If you don't have a Bible, you need one. this will really help you. Proverbs 31:10-31.
Verse 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Verse11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
Verse12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Verse13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
Verse 14She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
Verse15She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
Verse16She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
Verse 17She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for he tasks.
Verse 18She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
Verse19In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
Verse20She opens hers arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Verse21When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Verse22She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Verse23Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
Verse24She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
Verse25She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Verse26She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
Verse27She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Verse28Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her.
Verse 29Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.
Verse 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Verse31Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
I hope this helps you. Good luck.

My husband does. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be a wife at all. I am a good person, I am faithful, and we can communicate without major blow ups. We enjoy the same things. We are happy together. It's good for both of us.

I give my husband at least 20 minutes of complete silence to watch the fourth quarter of the basketball game while I answer questions on yahoo.

i think it depends upon person to person .i have taken 3 person,s opinion to find out the reason.

1. I guess it would just be to love and respect my husband. Being there for him, taking care of all of his needs. Being happy with him, and enjoying every moment that I have with him. Appreciating him, and letting him know that he can count on me. I love my husband a lot. We're very differnt people actually. We might have diff opinions or interets, but I always try to respect him. He's a really good man, I can sincerely say that.

2. What it takes to be a good wife depends on what your husband needs. My husband doesn't really care for homecooked meals and it took me a while to realize this. So I would get upset and he would get upset because I am upset. My husband wanted a women that would help me with the finances and so that is where I help him out. Also he wants a fit wife. I am not by any means fit but I am working out and trying to improve so that he will be happy. Being a good wife is just doing stuff that makes your husband happy.

3. I think it's important to be a confidente. To understand his needs as he should yours. I'm a new age wife. I don't believe in having a 3 course meal ready everyday but i think you should take on your share of the responsiblities. I think it is as important to be a friend as it is a lover to your husband. And I think the roles should be the same for him.

The Good Wife's Guide

1. Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favourite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.

2. Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a loth of work-weary people.

3. Be gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

4. Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives.

5. Gather up schoolbooks, toys, paper, etc. and then run a dustcloth over the tables.

6. Over the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift, too. AFter all, catering for his comfort will provide you with immense perssonal satisfaction.

7. Prepare the children. Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair and, if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part. Minimise all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer and or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet.

8. Be happy to see him.

9. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

10. Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first-remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

11. Make the evening his. Never compain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner, or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.

12. Your goal: Try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.

13. Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

14. Don't complain if he's late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as a minor compare to what he might have gone through that day.

15. Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.

16. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

17. Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgement or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

18. A good wife always knows her place.

love, mom
