Something missing in the relationship. It could be anything, really. If one feels unloved, they tend to look elsewhere. |

Because no matter how happy you are with your partner, nothing quite beats the thrill of a new person being interested in you. It's like winding back the clock and going on that first date with your spouse all over again - the butterflies, the excitement, the thrill.
It can sometimes seem worth the risk, but ultimately, it isn't. |

Ha. They weren't happy. Sadness, inadequacy or loneliness motivates a person...
or maybe some killer legs and double-d's |

They say that for men, it's a physical thing. Maybe their wives aren't being fair in the bedroom but some other woman seems to make him feel like she'll rock his world. It's enticing to that man. For women, it's generally an emotional thing. Some other man makes them feel beautiful and special and rekindles a fire inside them that may have died between she and her husband. It can be done out of pure selfishness mostly and generally, cheating is a lot of times boredom. One person is simply trying to spice up a dull and simplistic life. Also, I think communication can fade very quickly and if couples would remember to always talk and always keep an open door, things wouldn't get bad enough to where cheating comes into play. |

It starts with the thought. Then they put that thought into action. Then they try to justify it by using the excuse: Just As If I Never... |

No one who cheats is completely happy. They lack something within themselves that causes them to reach outside of their day to day lives seeking whats missing from within.
Self esteem (Or lack thereof) is one cause. Lack of commitment to ones own word or promises, a lack of honesty about what they say and believe, lack of belief in themself.
I pray this answers your question. |

something new, usually lust for a middle aged person, usually attention for a younger person. |

I don't think that you are completely happy with your spouse if you are cheating! |

Usually a breakdown in communication, from either one party or both. If one party feels neglected, for ie: never spends any quality time anymore, or one feels taken advantage of, then that's enough of a motivator for some people to find love elsewhere.
Obviously if someone is "completely happy with their spouse" as you say, then they would not have a reason to cheat.... Having said that, everyone has a different set of morals, motivations, comfort levels, so in general terms, when there are communication barriers, relationships tend to suffer. |

Yes, I think it is human nature to just want more! I think some women cheat for emotional needs, BUT there are the few out there who cheat just because it's fun and exciting! In my humble opinion, I don't think that necessarily means that they are unhappy in their marriage. It could be a physical thing where their lover is better endowed, and the woman just can't bring herself to telling her own husband that he just doesn't give her the snug fit she desires and deserves. As long as the woman doesn't get emotionally attached to this man, and she doesn't get caught, then no harm should come to her marriage. In fact, it could help it if she was happier all the time. |

i have wondered about that too and in my profession i had chance to ask a lot of men why it is done. so many different reason they told me. one said because it was exciting, other said the chance of being caught, another said because it wasnt ' allowed' , and one said because he could! of course these were the men , i dont know about women but maybe same motivations |

If they are cheating, then they aren't as happy as they thought.
People cheat for a lot of reasons, like
--Boredom
--Selfishness
--Laziness (not wanting to put effort into their current relationship)
--A belief that jumping in the sack with someone new will magically solve all their problems. |

there is no motivation to cheat on either side some people do it even when they are happy and have everything it could be some affection they are looking for that they are not getting at home or they may not be getting enough attention and a person would not be human if they didn't feel these things just be sure to let your partner know how much they mean to you without smothering them talk about everything no matter how small it may seem to you |

Can I forgive him for hurting me
 |
There will never be a perfect relationship, no matter what material things a person or couple may have there is always something more. I believe that if one cheats it does not mean they don't love the person they are with they are just looking for something that there spouse is not giving them. Some people try to talk to there spouse to let them know and good for them this is a warning that is saying "hey I am not happy", and some people thinks that there spouse is a mind reader and rather than confronting the issue they just go and look for what they want else where. A person that busts his @$$ to cover up really don't want to hurt there spouse otherwise they would make it obvious. |

No one is ever completely happy and it is those gaps in all relationships that we must work on to stay in a healthy and loving marriage . A spouse, whether happy or not that has decided to be unfaithful has a moral issue to begin with. People differ in this area and its very hard to pin point exactly as there could be many "excuses" for them doing so. In my case in particular, I have discovered that when men have been unfaithful to me, the first thing I try to stop is feeling guilty and blaming myself for their dishonesty. One did it because it was a "habit" with him which I did not see until it was too late as I thought his "flirting" from day one was normal for a guy. The other was too weak (so he said) to resist a woman "who threw herself at him". Excuses can go on forever but what it all boils down to is that we should try our best to dig deep into the integrity of your lover before committing to take the sacred vows. |
