We both did wrong in the relationship and we want it to work but couples counseling is too expensive. What questions could we ask each other to make us feel better about the situation and gain that trust we had back???

Trust would come from talking about three things. First, discuss the situation...what lead to it, what happened, and any other particulars. Second, discuss the feelings associated with the situation. Don't use, "I felt like..." That is not a feeling, it is an opinion. Then talk about what you will do to make it better. Words without actions are worthless.
Talk about how you resolve conflict, how you communicate, and what you expect from and in the relationship.
There are many great books on relationships and they aren't too expensive. Even though you did not mention engagement or marriage, check the book in the source section for more questions.
Finally, there are relationship tests/assessments that are not too expensive wither and they can give you a ton of relationship info and will help you to think of many questions. See below.

you'll never have the same trust as you once did before, especially since both of you has made mistakes, which is totally normal, but to go back to try and hope to gain something from the pass, is total reckless[won't happen] it will only be the same as is, or trust issues will get worst, first of all it will have to start from with in your heart, don't try to convince yourself in trust, you'll just be waisting time, but what you can do is, ask him if he's really sincere? ask him if he trust you? if he says no, then all the other questions would be irrelevant, with out trust you have nothing. just a big waist of time |
