I always find if I put my feet up when the wife is hovering near where I am sitting it helps her as she doesn't have to hoover around my feet.

That really depends on your man.
I may actually HELP, and do pretty much EVERYTHING.
But I think for most men from my generation...Is like a beer or a bottle of JACK in one hand and a WHIP to crack out demands in the other.

I tidy up, dust, do washing up, drying up, wash clothes, hang out the washing, clean paintwork, remove cobwebs, hoover and I can and do cook better than any woman I have ever met. My present girlfriend loves it. She does all of the ironing and we share everything else.

When my children were young I did everything for them except breast feeding as well as handling a third of an acre of land to supply them with healthy vegetables and holding down a full time job as well. My ex spent most of her time sat on her a.rse.

I must agree that taking out the trash is it. Ads you still have to remind them of it. If you don't they act like they don't know. They only do it by themselves when they want something, and maybe they'll put their plate in the sink after dinner. That's about it.
