I cant believe how selfish my husband is! For years he has been a bit selfish and tight and i sort of got used to it but recently he is getting worse he denied me 3 pounds for something yesterday and then went to the take away and got himself a huge kebab and chips, I only shop in charity shops for clothes and only ever ask for food/toys for my animals, I used to wear all the latest clothes and have my hair done at the hairdressers etc but i havent now for years because im used to saving and not spending money but now i feel sad because he spoils himself and never me, i have a high maintenance husband! Today We were in a charity shop and i found a jumper for 1 pound!! and he pulled his face and within a hour we had spent over a tenner on a pair of trackies for him !! Then he bought cigarettes ( I gave up 4 yrs ago) and there was no money left for my rabbits food so i said that he had spent all the money we got out of te bank on himself and he said ''so what does it matter who it got spent on'' and i lost it, Big time! I told him to take me home and f off ! well im hear totally pssd off wondering how i can stop him from being so selfish, Has anyone any ideas?? Thank you, Katie.

This is not fair tell him how you feel. Whats his is yours and the other way around. I would just start saving money to buy what I want and need. Every women needs her own money on the side for a rainy day. |

work out what changed/when it changed, did you always put him first and go without? if so, he has learnt from you and enjoying the fact that you let him walk all over you. you need to address this in a way that doesn't sound like you're having a go, or he will get defencive, if this makes no difference, you need to decide whether you can live with this mean, selfish man |

Have you ever heard the saying "You can't change a zebra's stripes"? Well, your husband is not going to change. The way I see it is you have two choices... either you accept this aspect of your husband or you leave him and move on. Perhaps you need to start saving your own money for a rainy day? You can try to talk to him and tell him how you feel but it's doubtful that he will change unless he really wants to .

do you have access to his accounts if so tell them the card is lost so he cant spend on them then get a credit card or 6 in his name and ask for the pin to be sent as well then max then out and leave him and the dept to his selfish ways or show him this question |
