What tricks do women use to trap a man into a relationship?

My question is somewhat tongue and cheek so don’t jump down my throat. Anyway, I am a 33-year old single guy. I am very accomplished in my career, have a great income, and have been told I am very attractive. However, I only started to date very recently. Ever since I put myself “on the market” by joining an internet dating site a few months ago, I have been on 20-25 dates with numerous women and have declined dates from many others. I would like to maybe get more involved with a woman but I am very scared a woman will “trap” me and eventually take my homes and wealth. What should I look out for? What are the tricks women use to get a man into a committed relationship and/or marriage?

Don't put on your profile or come out that you make lots of money. Wait a month or two before you tell them to see if you really like them. If they really like you, thinking your the average man and they treat you good and accept you then let them know a little more.

PS-Women don't make men do anything, if men are dumb enough to do it, fair game.

For you I would suggest finding a woman who is already very independent and financially secure. This way the woman already has her own money and things and wont want or need yours.

Many women are not looking to trap a man, but some are, I imagine. The most permanant way to trap a man is by childbirth. She has your kid, she is linked to you forever, whether you are together or not.

Keep your pecker wrapped up and you should be just fine.

Pregnancy is one of them. Don't ever believe a woman who says she is on the pill. Take care of yourself. Whenever you do get married, just get a prenup.

Dude, you went from 18 to 33 without dating? How did you become successful in business? The same aspects that helped you in business, should help you in the romantic world.

Look out for...women who want to hold your billfold, and not your hand; women who ask how much your house is worth, and not where you live; women who want to know more about your 401K, than they do about your age.

If all else fails, get yourself a pre-nup!

If you have that little faith in the woman out there you are screwed. Woman are sneaky though I don't blame you for being scared.

That's what women are for dude. What good is ALL that stuff if you don't have anyone to share it with?
Oh to answer the question. Pregnancy is one.Good Luck!

Well don't bring up your home or wealth initially. Wait until you know the woman better and know that she is the one then I'd mention that you are well off and have a home. Good luck

Why does it matter? It is YOUR suspicious nature that is causing you problems.

The fact is, YOU cannot trust anyone, probably because you yourself are not trustworthy. So your view of life is "do unto others before they do unto you".

Women KNOW these things, and they are completely wary of you. No matter what traps you look for, you are not going to be able to maintain a lengthy relationship with any woman. Even if you get one to fall for you, you will drive her away by being suspicious of her motives, jealous, and controlling.

You want a long term relationship , then first get control of your OWN life. if you want to be loved, then first make sure that you are someone worth loving -- and i don't see that now.

If you spend enough time with one women, maybe two years then you should know. I would tell the woman up front that you are going to take your time. That means she doesn't move into your home, etc. You date for 2 years. Then you'll know. And sign a pre-nup if it does come to marriage. That way she can only claim what was established during the marriage and that's how it should be.
