My husband told me yesterday that the reason he is so withdrawn sometimes is because he is with me everyday and he doesnt have much of a social life cause of it, that he wants to go out and enjoy life and relax.
I dont expect him to be with me 24/7 and i want him to go out and have fun without crossing the boundaries, but he doesnt want to.
I feel very sad because is not nice of him to tell me his social life died cause he is with me and im pregnant, its driving me crazy! i dont feel like we are important to him, only his social life! he says he wants to do things with me but he is saving his strength for when the baby comes....
I dont get it what am i doing wrong?????

Yes that´s your appreciation and that´s quite normal but is not about you...or because of you, he looks like having a "ant traumatic (no post) pregnancy syndrome" (I made it up)..he´s worried about his social life..give a grief!..Saving his strength, another grief...He needs to grow up and mature a bit...How old is he?---guess in his 20´s---
A real man should be a supportive and caring husband, happy and content to be father, fulfilled and realistic..what a portrait..withdrawn!!
What I would say is...be free, go!, do your life, get your social life back, and when your ready to assume your role of husband and father, you may come back,,,if I want you back that is..that´s what I would say...cuz otherwise i´d be struggling with 2 babies..nooo way,,, |

it sounds to me that he has had a lot of time to think, depending on his age and how long you have been together, if he has been with you since high school then he may feel that he is missing out on what people do when they are adult's, its not that you are doing anything wrong its the fact that he just wants to go out and do his own thing, you offered him to do it and it is up to him now, so dont feel bad you did your part and now its up to him if he wants to do it. |
