When I feel down, I still think about my first girlfriend...does this make me an obsessive nut?

My first (and so far only) long term relationship ended over 10 years ago.
But when I feel down, I still find myself thinking about my long lost ex.
The feelings are pretty standard stuff, guilt, feelings of loss, regret etc.
I spoke to my ex 5 years ago about these feelings and she insisted that I had no reason to feel bad about what happened. My rational head agrees with her, but my irrational head seems to ignore this when I'm feeling low.
She moved on a long time ago. I know I can't recreate the past, but I still find myself dwelling on the past.
Do you think I'll ever grow out of this???!!!
Any thoughts appreciated.
Maybe I'll just have to get used to it!
