The mother of my child and my daughter used to live in Indianapolis over 5yrs ago. When we broke up she moved to Georgia and resided there for over 3yrs. Last year she left there to go live in Oklahoma and got married there, but now her husband is laid off, can't afford rent and they are moving back to Georgia. While she was in Oklahoma she had child support established there.
I WANT VISITATION because all of this moving is giving me a headache and it will soon become TOO expensive to constantly make trips and pay the child support. Plus she has been really shady about letting me see her. Blackmailing me wit child support. So what is the best thing to do about visitation at this point?
I have been told by legal aid before, that I have to file in Oklahoma. This was before she now decided to move back to Georgia. What state can I file in now? What if she never moves back to Oklahoma. How can I stop my legalities from becoming so SCATTERED??!! If
I do file in GA or OK, will the courts make her confined to one state or the other?
Plz Help? Thx in advance.

She will have to have child support transferred to which ever state she resides in. You ned to go to the local Juvenile Court located in the state she resides in as well to get visitation rights. |
