Who agrees Middle Class America is our problem?

I blame middle class America for morphing this economy into a black hole. You can't blame the poor--as they weren't responsible for it. The poor aren't even equipped with the tools to drag an economy down. And you cannot blame the wealthy. Other than the super-corrupt fat-cats on Wall Street, wealthy people ordinarily earn what they get. This leaves me disdain for middle class America, and let me tell you why.

They save nothing. They spend everything. They compete with the Joneses. They engage in class warfare. They incur credit recklessly. They needlessly consume....then gripe when all their money has gone bye-bye. They drive cars they can't afford. They recklessly buy houses. They believe being married and having children makes them mature. They pompously believe that ultra-consumption is the American dream. Ultimately, though, what really irritates me is, they have ZERO appreciation for the troops. Middle Class Americans rat-a-tat-tat off over fashion prices rising, while our troops are getting their heads blown off.

Why do Middle Class Americans take everything for granted, and believe freedom can just abracadabra itself into existence?

Yes, my semester just ended. Answers can preprare to ingest what I promote. Middle class is apples and oranges. 300k (which my father pulls in annually) is nothing in NYC. But we (my father and I) live in the south, and it carries us. Your son is a hero.

I have missed you Joey. I fall under middle class America. I have worked hard for the american dream. I live in a moderately sized house and it is paid for. I drive a nice SUV and it is paid for. I do not have any bills, only living expenses. My children have been taught to do the same. I have money in the bank that I have scrimped to save my entire adult life. My oldest child is part of the troops that you say I take for granted. Freedom has a price and has been paid over and over very dearly. It will continue to be paid with the lives of our sons and daughters. Do not be so judgmental. All of us are not the same. Can you tell me what you define as middle class?

dude seriously stop you sound ******* retarded the situation we are in isnt directed at a certain part of americans, get over yourself. i am not poor and i wouldnt consider my being rich..i take care of my responsibilities and i care for our troops and i am very grateful for what they are doing everything i have i have bought and i can afford..you sound very ignorant when you say those things...i would consider myself middle class i dont spend everything and i do save...alot matter of fact...i also have kids and i didnt think im mature now when i had them i thought i have to be mature now...and as for fashion prices i dont run out and buy labels..to tell you the truth my favorite store is wal-mart...dont throw us all into a group there are some people out there like you say but its not all of us so please notice that...

The banks and some mortgage brokers are the ones to blame. They are the ones that let these people get into outrageous loans that they couldn't afford. Half the time the bank didn't even check the income people claimed to make. They just took the borrowers (or the lying mortgage brokers) word for it.
What about the auto industry. They aren't doing so hot either. Who's fault is that?

Ozzy Osbourne would disagree. He would tell you that it is the rich people that start wars, and usually for some financial or raw material gain. He would ask you to find the son of a rich man fighting on the front lines.

Janis Joplin would disagree. She would tell you that freedom is just another word for nothing less to lose. She would tell you that two percent of the population owns 98 percent of the wealth.

Blaming any one group of individuals for the problems of America is pretty weak. We all, as participants, play our part. Granted some have a bigger role to play than others, but we are all involved.

Rather than trying to place the blame, look inside and see what you can do to make this world a better place.

well, i can afford the house i am living in...i wasn't ignorant enough to buy a house i couldn't afford just because they said i can have the money. People need to take responsibility for their own actions. And you need to stop spouting things that you know nothing about. Go take your ignorance somewhere else.
