I have been married to a man I love for 9 years. we have two boys under 5. We have been happy, or so I thought and the rest of everyone around us thought. He told me he was inlove with me, wanted to spend the rest of my life with me and so on. I believed him. I supported him on everything he's ever wanted to do, has done, or wanted to do in life. All of a sudden He flipped a switch. He now only sees the negative in me. Any little fight we've ever had he is now turning into something huge. He is telling me he never wanted to be with me and he doesnt love me. He is telling me he never did love me, when I know he did. What caused him to flip this switch. He has become depressed angry man who only sees the negative in life. We went to a therapist and at first she said he was depressed and bi polar. He refuses to hear it. He then went alone and convinced her somehow it was all me, until i went alone and she got to know me. Now he doesnt want to go to therapy. Everyone in his family struggles with depression amongst other difficulities. They all see there is something wrong with him. That he did love me and they dont understand what is going on. But he has become so certain in his mind that he never loved me.
What flips a switch in a man to change the entire history of a marraige and family into this? He swears there is no one else,, but he constantly plays this game World Of Warcraft and has women sending him messages and he talks to women and men on this game 9 hours a day. He wants to be here, home even though he's left. He thinks it's ok to come whenever he wants to visit the boys and has even asked to stay here on his weekends, but he doesnt want to be around me?? He is very confused man and I dont know what exactly happened to flip the switch..
IS it me??? does a little bit of frustration from me because i asked him 3 days ago to carry a laundry basket down and he ignores it completely end a marraige??? we were so great together and he's made everything just disappear in an instant.

He is 34 years old.. He has told me so much about how he feels and whatnot, but he swears up and down he is not cheating. He swears he's not talking to another woman. I dont know if i should believe him since he's lied to me all these years.

I'm conflicted. It could be an affair, but it could also be depression. I just noticed that he left. It's an affair. Sorry. Stop letting him back in the house. This was not about the laundry basket. Get tested for std's. |

So sorry to hear this. Well something certainly has triggered this behavior. What it is is a big guess? I am betting that it is another woman. Exercise your right to be informed and since he is not helping you in this area I would suggest you hire a PI or ask the help of your family/good friends to get to the bottom of this. It sounds to me like he's looking for an easy "out". I hope he's not cheating, because my ex did the same thing to me...he'd nitpick and nag, so I'd blow up in his face and he'd have an excuse to leave the house to go and see it...I mean her. |

It sounds like he probably has a girlfriend. The "emotional disconnect" is usually one of the first signs of cheating. The cheater must do a "flip switch" to protect their guilty conscience......otherwise they would feel bad about their behavior. Don't feel guilty. You didn't do anything wrong. The problem ISN'T you. The truth is, there will always be something wrong because now he's just looking for excuses to so he doesn't have to feel bad about his behavior. |
