I think the person either wants to look, is looking or has found someone else. The would be loner might need to be honest with them self. I watched a friend tell his wife this same thing and I think he really believed that was what he wanted. He thought the single life looked really great. He was dating someone within a few months and living with someone shortly after. He was definitely not a loner. I think that was after 22 or 23 years of marriage.
