As for marrying a virgin:I think because people like the thought of their loved one being fresh and clean as a morning rose, and being yet unspoiled by the cruel, vile world.
And they probably like the fact that they got the privilege to be the first.
As for keeping your virginity:Religion, upbringing, fear, idk. I've been wondering that same question.
