Why can I not get over my ex?

My ex and I were good friends/best friends in high school (many moons ago). We did not actually date until our freshman year of college. He got accepted to school hours away and I stayed behind to school in our hometown. He broke up with me due to the distance but we vowed to wait for each other. He made me mad and I began dating the first new guy friend I met. I loved the new guy, but not like my ex.
My ex and I saw each other on the side, until I married the new guy. I always had my ex on my mind though and constantly got in trouble for comm. with him. I can not see my ex for 2 years and the minute I do see him its like we never lost contact. He gives me a feeling like no on else.
Am I just crazy or why am I so goo goo over this guy at first? I have dated guys before and after this one.
Additional Details
Basically to get back at my ex for breaking up w/me just cuz he went off to school. He ripped my heart out I thought.

So..basically..you feel as if he has your heart, you're more in love with him, and you want to be with him, because you feel as if he's the one you're meant to be with.
Hm..You vowed to wait, and that's what you should have done. Poor choices, lead to poor outcomes.
You know, it's really crazy to get a divorce over a man, but..they always tell you to follow your heart. Just be ready to face all consequences, because oh boy, they'll come alright!

So you were so desperate to have someone in your life that you married a dude that you didn't truly want and now you are contemplating getting back with your real love...which will certainly end in divorce. Greaaaat..........
EDIT:
Even better you got married out of spite. Wow...this story just gets better and better. No wonder the divorce rate is so high in this country. Not to mention women wonder why guys don't "get" you...this is a prime example. Women like you make too many poor choices based on emotions. And in the end, you expect someone else to clean up your mess (current husband). Promise me you won't reproduce so there will be one less illogical human being on this planet. |
