Why do husbands move their drunk friends in the house without consulting their wife first?

Sounds as though you and your husband need to have a serious heart to heart. You need to come to some kind of a compromise and solution. I would not be happy! I would let him know of my concerns and lack of sympathy for his friend.

i can understand your husbands need to take care of someone he cares about. the guy was in trouble, and your husband stepped in to help him. but since he didn't discuss this with you, you need to set boundaries. he needs find a job so he can eventually save up and leave your place, and you need to let him know that this is still your house! you can't feel uncomfortable in your own house lol. tell your husband that since he didn't take the liberty to discuss such a thing with you, you're taking the liberty of establishing rules around the house without his consent. you have to whip em a little bit lol.

I went through the same thing. I simply told my husband that due to the fact that I wasn't included in this decision, that I was giving the following conditions to the situation.
1. His friend had 2 weeks to find a job
2. He had one month to find another place to stay
3. If there was any illicit behavior, the deal was off and he needed to leave immediately
4. There would be no company of his friend's at my home.
5. If ANY of the above conditions were violated, my husband would find himself along side his friend.

I then explained to my husband that this is my house as well as his and in the future I expected to be consulted before any such decisions are made. He got the hint and within 3 weeks, his friend was gone.

Tell your hubby not only is his friend moving in but that he can move out....Why put a known peeping tom in the house with his wife??????????

You and your hubby need to sit this guy down and explain the rules, and tell him that if he so much as gives the impression of breaking your rules, he is out on his butt.

Then set rules down that he has to look for work and attend AA meetings as a condition of staying there without paying rent. You're not running a home for wayward boys. If he doesn't agree and doesn't comply, he's gone.

If you have children, especially daughters, kick him out now.

talk to your husband about it, somewhere where the other guy can hear you say you want him gone. then no matter what your husband says about it, the other guy will know you want him out, and probably will leave (unless he really doesn't care, then you might have to kick him out yourself).

Pack your trash and move out. Is your name o the lease or rental agreement? Kick them BOTH out and you stay. It is not just HIS place. Stand up for yourself.
