Bathrooms are MY job my wife hasn't cleaned a bathroom in our house in over 8 years! BUT she does the laundry, I do help fold every once in a while BUT she wants to do the laundry!
We share jobs, I do some she does others and we share some! |

Because he's busy working, mowing the lawn, mopping the floor, steam cleaing the carpets, and washing the cars. In our house is a trade off. I'll scrub toilets all day long to avoid those other house chores. You just do what works. |

Well i don't know bout you but when ever i do household stuff 90% of the time my girl will go behind me and redo it. now i have worked on boats for 10 years and have worked under some anal captains, so no smart a%s comments bout doing it right the first time!!! That is just her way. Towels have to look a certain way the toilet paper has to be the right side up. I know its pointless but i still try to do it. But it is frustrating because she does that |

Because most men think if they go to a job, their day is done...It is hard to convince them that that is not the way it is today. Most women are kinda used to doing it all but it is not right when you don't live alone. |

I made a deal with my Wife early in our marriage that I would scrub the toilets and clean the bathrooms if she would use some care when she did her things in the bathroom.
Dirty toilets take 5 minutres to clean...I hate slimy sinks and dirty mirrors worse than a messy toilet. |

Because they are not socialized to do it and women keep up the status quo.
Sometimes you need to take action. For example, when my SO never went out and bought toilet paper, after a few months I would only buy rolls for myself and then stash them and bring them into the bathroom and take them out with me. Guess what? He went and bought toilet tissue b/c he had no other choice.
If you want to get him to clean the toilet maybe you should make it unattractive for him to use, if you get my drift. |

I have to agree with jw7569 men act like they can't do it right so we take over they know will clean it. My longterm boyfriend soon to be married tried to pull that crap on me, so what I did was I turned the tables I acted like I did not know how to do anything around the house and when I did do it I made sure that I did it incorrectly and I would act so excited about it and he would be like ummm goodjob than I would go back in the room and he would be cleaning everything up haha it was the funniest thing he didn't know about my trick and he still does it lol now i don't make him do everything that just would not be fair but the things I can't stand doing he'll do lol and the toilets are one of them. |
